RockstarGame

One of Iran’s longest-running GTA modding communities, migrated from a blogging platform to a real website without losing a single post — plus more than two custom Windows applications built and shipped as the client’s own products.

A Decade of Gaming Content, Migrated Without Losing a Single Post

RockstarGame has run one of Iran’s longest-standing GTA modding and gaming communities — a shop, mod archive and gaming magazine built up over years on a blogging platform that had outgrown what it needed to be. The client came to CloudTart to move the entire operation onto a real website, and, separately, to build genuine Windows software for their gaming audience.

The Challenge

Migrating a website that old means migrating years of accumulated content — mod archives, installation guides, magazine posts, product listings — onto an entirely different platform without breaking a single link or losing a single post along the way, while also upgrading everything the old blog system simply couldn’t do. On top of that, the client wanted more than a website: they wanted real desktop software, a specialised, unusual request for a web agency to take on.

Our Approach

We planned and executed a full content migration from the old blogging system to a proper website, carrying over the complete mod archive, gaming magazine and shop catalogue without data loss, while upgrading the platform’s actual capabilities along the way. Separately, we took on the specialised work of building more than two Windows desktop applications for the gaming space — delivered, supported and provided as RockstarGame’s own branded products.

The Result

RockstarGame now runs on a modern website that carries its entire history forward intact, plus a small suite of custom Windows software built specifically for its community — a technical partnership well beyond a typical website build.

Full migration from blog platform to a real website, zero content lost

Complete GTA mod archive & gaming shop rebuilt on the new platform

Two-plus custom Windows applications built and shipped as client products

Gaming magazine & mod-installation content preserved and modernised

Long-term technical partnership across a full platform rebuild

Backup & trainer software delivered under the client’s own brand
